Everyday on Facebook we see it happening, day after day, another innocent individual's status taking in to deep consideration whether or not they should "tweet" or stay out of the addicting Twitter site to hold off as long as they can. This body practice of sharing your every five minutes of with the world is sucking many people into this site daily. It all began mostly on AIM Instant Messenger, then MySpace, then Facebook, and now Twitter. On Facebook, it was pretty acceptable, people would update their statuses every so often, but this “tweeting” business has taken sharing your life to a whole new level. People comment and post something every second they can put what just happened to them in an interesting set of words, along with an ampersand describing that sentence in one word. It is mind blowing to see what some people encounter in a day. The rhetoric and argument within whether to tweet or not gets quite a spectrum of opinions. In some opinions, Twitter is the best thing ever, posting what minor random things happening couldn’t get much better. While to the older generations wonder why we feel the need and think it is the right thing to do by sharing our life every five minutes with the world. While the people in the middle of these extremes sit contemplating whether or not to venture where they haven’t gone before and get a Twitter account. This subculture of tweeters also bring them a new identity, one that gives them a way to connect with all the celebrities that tweet, professional athletes that tweet, and even Oprah. Celebrities and other popular individuals using this website also made for the social construction of it to become a body practice for our culture because they helped endorse it and make it a normal routine. For me it is like being yourself and talking to people when you talk to them isn’t enough. Our intelligible bodies must talk and talk to people all the time informing them what is going on, like pursuit without terminis. Also, Twitter is such a consuming trend, even encouraged by many agencies in our culture; media, school, home, church and peers especially. Let’s face it; you cannot get away from Twitter unless you live under a rock.

This website explains how Twitter has become so popular and even includes a video about how to use Twitter so the docile body can take a position on this "tweeting" trend.
