Texting

One body practice that has pretty much become as common as breathing nowadays is texting. People are constantly doing it; walking down the street, riding their bike, and, unfortunately, driving down the road. It has become such a social norm that people will do it at any time and under some extremely unnecessary conditions. I feel like everyone must have that one person who just cannot put their phone down. What’s even worse than that, when you two people, texting each other, while hanging out with each other. Everyone feels that it is completely ridiculous how much they text, but they just can’t realize it. For the most part, texting started as a social construct of our younger generations. However, it has quickly spread to older generations and you can pretty much find anyone doing it.

I don’t mean to sound like I’m just completely ragging on texting though. It is a newer form of technology that has completely revolutionized the way we communicate, whether for bad or good depending on how people look at it. Nonetheless, it is a body practice that people do all the time, myself included. Thankfully, I am not at the level where I’m completely dependent on it though.

  1. Yea txting is awsm lol!

Texting is not my cup of tea. I used to text insane amounts but now I barely get 50 out in a month. Also as you can see, the first sentence typed above, this texting language is horrible. Also Facebook chat and stuff, people are getting lazy and punctuation is becoming less of a big deal.
