standing, yes standing

Ever just watch someone and how they stand when they are talking to you? The positioning of their legs, how they lean and where they put their arms? Its very interesting and can tell quite a lot about a person. But is this habit that people have something that is derived from culture or is it a form of way to express who they.

Such as a person who has more confidence will stand with vigor and upright position, as opposed to someone who is shy might cross their hands or hunch a little. But why do we do it? Is it our brains way of trying to give off a message to the person you are standing next to, force of habit that someone has learned from seeing over years or something else. After a while of noticing this I started noticing how I stand and walk.

  1. I think this post is both accurate and interesting. People in power always have their shoulders back, head high, and give off a sense of confidence that would not be possible without their body positioned the way it is. While some shy people may cross their arms, I tend to associate people that cross their arms as either pissed off or bored.
